Garv’s Pick of the Week: Sign of the Cross (Kino Lorber)
For the release week of August 25th:
Garv’s Pick of the Week: Sign of the Cross [Blu-ray / Kino Lorber]: C.B. DeMille’s pre-code epic of Nero’s Rome is wonderfully whackadoodle and sinfully salacious. Claudette Colbert bathes in asses milk, lesbians dance, gladiators fight, naked women are attacked by crocodiles and a gorilla, and Charles Laughton hams it up. Who could ask for anything more?
