Garv’s Pick of the Week: A Pistol for Ringo & The Return of Ringo (Arrow Video)

For the release week of April 24th:

Garv’s Pick of the Week: A Pistol for Ringo & The Return of Ringo: Two Films by Duccio Tessari [Blu-ray / Arrow Video]: Two of the most popular non-Leone Euro-Westerns get a dual release in this limited edition set.  I haven’t had the opportunity to watch these movies, but it’s always good to see more Westerns (especially those of the pasta variety) on Blu-ray.

Additional Titles of Interest —

Dead Man [Blu-ray / Criterion]: The Western gets Jim Jarmuschized.

The Virgin Suicides [Blu-ray / Criterion]: Sophia Coppola’s directorial debut gets the Criterion special edition treatment.

The Boneyard [Blu-ray / Code Red & Kino Lorber]: Phyllis Diller, Norman Fell, and a zombie poodle?  Color me interested.

The Maze 3-D [Blu-ray / Kino Lorber]: One of the top requested films of the classic 3-D era gets a Blu-ray release.  If you don’t have a 3-D set-up, the flat version is also provided.  By the way, this will be screened in 3-D at this year’s Cinevent.

Bombshell: Hedy Lamar [Blu-ray / Zeitgeist Films]: More than just a pretty face.

Joe [Blu-ray / Olive Films]: Not exactly a pretty face.
