Garv’s Pick of the Week: Batman: The Complete Animated Series Deluxe Limited Edition [Blu-ray / Warner Brothers]: This 10 Blu-ray set collects all 109 episodes of Batman: The Animated Series (1992-1995) and The New Batman Adventures (1997-1999), as well as the features Batman: Mask of the Phantasm and Batman & Mr. Freeze: Sub-Zero. For me, this is still the best version of the Caped Crusader and his rogues gallery on film. Mark Hamill’s take on the Joker is a particular standout.

Osamu Tezuka's Metropolis [Blu-ray + DVD Steelbook / Mill Creek]: Beyond Hayao Miyazaki, I’m not much of an Anime fan, but this is an exception. A solid story, incredibly detailed animation, and an exceptional soundtrack combine for a unique experience.
Found At "Mostly Lost": Volume 2 [DVD / Undercrank Productions]: 10 unknown silent short subjects, identified through the Library of Congress’ “Mostly Lost” workshop event, have been collected for the first time on home video with new piano scores by Philip Carli, Andrew E. The Princess Bride [Blu-ray / Criterion]: Rob Reiner’s classic comedic fantasy is getting a Criterion edition? Inconceivable!
Torso (Special Edition) [Blu-ray / Arrow Video]: It saturates the screen with terror.
Mandy [Blu-ray /Image Entertainment]: I haven’t seen this 2018 release, but I hear that it features Nicolas Cage at his unhinged best.
Maigret: The Complete Series [DVD / MHz Networks]: For many mystery fans, Bruno Cremer (Sorcerer) is the quintessential Inspector Maigret. However, his French TV series is unknown to most Americans. All 54 movie-length episodes are collected here.
