Garv’s Pick of the Week: King of Hearts (Cohen Film Collection)

For the release week of June 12th:

Garv’s Pick of the Week: King of Hearts [Blu-ray / Cohen Film Collection]: This fanciful, anti-war comedy gets a new 4K restoration and Blu-ray release.  I’m looking forward to revisiting Philippe De Broca’s cult film, as I remember it being a sweet, colorful confection.

Additional Titles of Interest —

Vigil (Special Edition) [Blu-ray / Arrow Video]: I know next to nothing about this New Zealand film, but I am intrigued just the same.

Designing Woman (1957) [Blu-ray / Warner Archive]: Gregory Peck and Lauren Bacall star in this romantic comedy.  The Blu-ray might be worth purchasing for the cover illustration alone.

George Carlin Commemorative Collection [Blu-ray + DVD + CD / MPI]: All of Carlin’s HBO specials and more are packaged together in this 10-Disc collector’s set.

Jerry Lewis 10 Film Collection [DVD / Paramount]: A repackaging and re-release of the DVD box set containing The Bellboy, Cinderfella, The Delicate Delinquent, The Disorderly Orderly, The Errand Boy, The Family Jewels, The Ladies Man, The Nutty Professor, The Patsy, and The Stooge.  LAAAAAAADDDDDDDYYYYYY!
