New Disney Movie Club Blu-ray Exclusives Coming Soon
While the classic Disney live action films from the 1950s to 80s are unavailable on Blu-ray in stores and through regular online retailers, many favorites, including Treasure Island (1950), Pollyanna (1960), Swiss Family Robinson (1960), The Love Bug (1968), and The Apple Dumpling Gang (1975), have been made available as exclusives through the Disney Movie Club. This week, the cover art was revealed for the next two exclusives, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954) and In Search of the Castaways (1962):
The release dates have not yet been announced, but it is assumed that they will likely be offered in June. 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea is one of my top “wish list” titles, so this is a very welcome announcement indeed!
The Disney Movie Club releases generally have few, if any, special features. However, the quality of the picture and sound for the films themselves has been excellent. If you want to find out more about the Disney Movie Club, here’s a link.
