Scream Factory June Titles
Scream Factory, the horror sub-label of Shout! Factory announced some exciting releases for June, including a Hammer horror title that is out of print on Blu-ray, a steelbook re-release of a Joe Dante film, and a few choice 50s Universal Sci-Fi titles.

**NEW TITLE ANNOUNCEMENT**
It’s the year of Hammer Films for us as you can already tell and we have yet another one planned for the Summer.
FRANKENSTEIN CREATED WOMAN (starring legendary star Peter Cushing) is being prepped in Collector’s Edition Blu-ray release!
Here are the early details we have at present time:
- National street date for U.S. only (Region A) is June 11th.
- Release will come with a slipcover (guaranteed for three months after its original release date).
- The newly-commissioned artwork pictured comes to us from Mark Maddox (Dracula: Prince of Darkness). This art will be front-facing and the reverse side of the wrap will the original theatrical poster design.
- Extras and specs are still in progress and will be announced later in May.

New PIRANHA (1978) Steelbook!
Joe Dante’s killer fish favorite is now officially a “Scream Factory”-branded title as we present it in a new Blu-ray Steelbook® packaging! Swimming its way this Summer (naturally). Read on for more details:
- Official street date is June 11th for U.S. and Canada territories (Region A).
- We are preparing a new 4K scan of the film from the original negative and have recorded a brand new audio commentary with Executive Producer Roger Corman! All bonus features from the prior Blu-ray release will be ported over as well.
- Only 5,000 units of the steelbook are being produced total. When they’re gone, they’re gone!
- The artwork you see pictured on both come to us from by artist Nathanael Marsh (who also illustrated our prior Carpenter-themed steelbooks, including Halloween II & III). If you order directly from our site though, your packaging will also include an exclusive 28.5” x 16.5” rolled lithograph of the illustration. Based on the novel by Frank De Felitta, 1983’s intense, terrifying and woefully underrated supernatural thriller THE ENTITY is finally getting the attention it deserves in an all-new Collector’s Edition release this June!

- Release will come with a slipcover (guaranteed for three months after its original release date).
- The newly-commissioned artwork pictured comes to us from Joel Robinson (10 to Midnight, Silent Night Deadly Night, Candyman). This art will be front-facing and the reverse side of the wrap will the original theatrical poster design (aka: the big glowing title treatment).
- Extras are pretty much finalized but will confirm more on a later date. What we can announce today though is that all extras from the prior DVD will be ported over and we have new exclusive interviews with actor David Labiosa, Film Editor Frank J. Urioste, legendary genre Composer Charles Bernstein (A Nightmare on Elm Street, Cujo) and the star of the film herself, Academy-Ward nominee BARBARA HERSHEY!

We have not one, not two, but THREE new Universal titles from the ’50s landing onto Blu-ray in June!

THIS ISLAND EARTH (1955)

MONSTER ON THE CAMPUS (1958)
Fear stalks the seemingly tranquil halls of Dunsfield University with the arrival of a prehistoric fish, the coelacanth. The terror begins when a student’s dog laps up water that has been contaminated by the fish and turns into a savage wolf attacking Madeline Howard (Joanna Moore, Touch Of Evil). The school’s paleontology professor, Donald Blake (Arthur Franz, The Caine Mutiny), is accidentally bitten by the coelacanth and blacks out, only to find that a hulking beast has killed one of his friends. Somehow, contact with this fish’s prehistoric blood causes a total collapse of evolution, turning animals and humans into mindless, murderous monsters!
