Scream Factory New Title Announcements
Over the past week, Shout! Factory’s horror sub-label, Scream Factory has announced several new Blu-rays planned for October. Here are the descriptions from the Scream Factory Facebook page:
**NEW TITLE ANNOUNCEMENT**
The fourth of July may be approaching but we’re already gearing up for Halloween as we plan to give the modern-day horror anthology classic TRICK R’ TREAT the deluxe treatment this Fall!
Details we have at present time are as follows:
• This will be branded as a “Collector’s Edition” that will come with a slipcover (guaranteed for three months after its original release date). U.S. and Canada territories (Region A).
• New extras and specs are still in progress and will be announced later in September. Extras from the previous DVD and Blu-ray release will be ported over and more new interviews are underway. We’re happy to report that Director Michael Dougherty is very-much involved!
• The newly-commissioned artwork pictured is Director approved and comes to us from Devon Whitehead. This art will be front-facing and the reverse side of the wrap will be a theatrical art alternative that Mr. Dougherty asked if we could include.
• National street date is planned for Oct 9th. **NEW TITLE ANNOUNCEMENT**
Get ready to spend the night in a mansion full of the macabre as the 1999 remake of HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL is (finally) coming to Blu-ray from us this Fall! Here are the early details we have at present time:
• This will be branded as a “Collector’s Edition” that will come with a slipcover (guaranteed for three months after its original release date). U.S. and Canada territories (Region A).
• Extras and specs are still in progress and will be announced later in September. What we can confirm today is that we will have a new high-definition transfer of the film and a new interview with Director William Malone. Extras from the previous DVD release will be ported over and more new interviews are underway.
• The newly-commissioned artwork pictured comes to us from Joel Robinson (Silent Night Deadly Night, The Serpent and the Rainbow, Ninja III, etc). This art will be front-facing and the reverse side of the wrap will the original theatrical poster design.

Calling all fans of HALLOWEEN II (1981) and HALLOWEEN III: SEASON OF THE WITCH! You’re in for a special treat this Halloween season as both films are being reissued from us in limited-edition Steelbook® packaging! Read on for more details:
– Official Release Date for is October 9th (and just ahead of the new Halloween film that stalks into theaters Oct 19th).
– Only 10,000 of each steelbook are being produced.
– Steelbooks will be shrinkwrapped. The Blu-rays included inside will have the same content (but with different disc label art) that is currently available in their respective Collector Edition releases but with one big exception: We are doing a NEW 4K scan film transfer on both!
– The artwork you see pictured on both come to us from by artist Nathanael Marsh (who also illustrated our prior John Carpenter-themed steelbooks). If you order directly from our site, your packaging will also include a 28.5” x 16.5” rolled lithograph of the illustrations. The litho will not be available elsewhere and only 1,000 of them each are being made.

**NEW TITLE ANNOUNCEMENT**
We are proud (and so unbelievably excited) to reveal today that we are prepping to release the classic George A. Romero and Stephen King 1982 anthology CREEPSHOW this Fall in an all-new upgraded presentation! Because we feel this is a rather huge and beloved title, we are rolling this out a little more uniquely so please read carefully for all the details that we have at the time.
• Naturally, this will be branded as a “Collector’s Edition” but packaged a bit differently than we have done in the past for other CEs. This will come with a rigid slipcover (like what we did with the deluxe version release of Nightbreed) that will house a Blu-ray case and a collectible booklet featuring a new essay from Michael Gingold (Fangoria, Rue-Morgue, Dellirium). The newly-commissioned artwork pictured on the slipcase is from Laz Marquez (Army of Darkness, The Howling and Lifeforce steelbooks).
• The Blu-ray case wrap inside will be reversible featuring original theatrical artwork on both sides. (The “ticket booth” one and the “Comic book” one.)
• New extras and specs are still in progress and will be announced later in September. Rest-assured we have plenty planned and…we are in progress of doing an all-new film transfer!

**NEW TITLE ANNOUNCEMENT**
Prepared to be stung this Fall when the 50’s sci-fi thriller THE WASP WOMAN comes buzzing coming to Blu-ray with a new film transfer!
Roger Corman, king of the cult classics produced and directed this cult classic, and even makes an uncredited appearance as a doctor in the film. Susan Cabot (Sorority Girl) plays Janice Starlin, whose cosmetic company has started to lose sales because its marketing relies on her own once-impressive but now aging beauty. The eccentric Dr. Eric Zinthrop (Michael Mark) develops an enzyme extract from royal wasp jelly, which rejuvenates Janice, with one tiny little side effect: It turns her into a monster! Written by frequent Corman collaborator Leo Gordon (The Terror, Tower of London), this chiller co-stars Anthony Eisley (The Naked Kiss) and Barboura Morris (A Bucket Of Blood).
