The Buster Keaton Collection: Volume 2 Coming from Cohen Film Collection
Fans of silent comedy, rejoice!
The Cohen Film Collection will release the latest 4K restorations of the silent comedy classics Sherlock Jr. (1924) and The Navigator (also 1924) on Blu-ray and DVD as The Buster Keaton Collection: Volume 2 on July 9th. The best news is that not only should these films look better than ever; they should also sound fantastic, as they contain new musical scores.
The Buster Keaton Collection: Volume 1 (The General / Steamboat Bill, Jr.) [Blu-ray] is already available for purchase. Both discs should be considered “must owns” for fans of classic comedy and of movies in general.

The Buster Keaton Collection: Volume 2 (Sherlock, Jr. / The Navigator)
New digital restorations of two of Buster Keaton’s greatest works, both featuring new orchestral scores.
In Sherlock Jr., Buster plays a movie projectionist who daydreams himself into the movies he is showing and merges with the figures and the backgrounds on the screen. While dreaming he is Conan Doyle’s master detective, he snoops out brilliant discoveries.
And in another hilarious comedy, Keaton and his sweetheart are cast adrift on a deserted ocean liner. The ship finally runs aground on a desert island where the two unfortunates are chased by cannibals. A box office success, The Navigator is also one of Keaton’s most revered films.
