First Three Emmanuelle Films Coming to Blu-ray
There was a time in the 1970s when a group of mostly European directors, such as Walerian Borowczyk, Radley Metzger, and Tinto Brass, attempted to produce erotic films that could also be considered artistic. Of course, some of the attempts were more successful than others at being more than mere titillation.
On April 9th, Kino Lorber Studio Classics will release Blu-rays of three of the most popular and influential films in the 1970s erotic cinema movement, the first three installments in the Emmanuelle series. The films, Emmanuelle (1974), Emmanuelle 2 (1975), and Goodbye Emmanuelle (1977), directed by Just Jaeckin and starring Sylvia Kristel, will each be released individually.
