Garv’s Pick of the Week: The Vincent Price Collection [Blu-ray / Scream Factory]Back in 2013, Scream Factory released a Vincent Price Collection Blu-ray box set containing House of Usher (1960), The Pit and the Pendulum (1961), The Haunted Palace (1963), The Masque of the Red Death (1964), Witchfinder General (1968), and the greatest horror movie of all time, The Abominable Dr. Phibes (1971).  That set went out-of-print, and until now, Scream Factory was unable to re-release it due to rights issues.  This week, the set is back in a revised form.  Scream Factory was unable to bring back the brief TV introductions to the films by Vincent Price.  However, the new edition contains two versions of The Masque of the Red Death – the standard edition from the prior release and an extended version that reinstates around 70 seconds of cut footage.  A new standalone Blu-ray release of The Masque of the Red Death also arrives this week, if you already own the prior release of this box set.
