Police Squad!: The Complete Series Coming to Blu-ray
Hello out there in Internet land,
While the main focus of this website is on lesser-known movies, occasionally there is a home video release of a television series that I think merits special attention. Paramount’s upcoming Blu-ray release of Police Squad!: The Complete Series is one such title.
This 1982 Zucker-Abrahams-Zucker cop show spoof followed their tremendously popular box office hit Airplane!, and it is arguably the funniest television show of the Eighties. While only six episodes were produced before the series was cancelled, the show garnered a cult following and eventually spawned the Naked Gun movies (which are funny bit don’t quite match the deadpan, Mad Magazine hilarity of the original series).
