Two From the Duke Coming to Blu-ray

Kino Lorber announced that they will release two lesser known titles starring John “the Duke” Wayne on Blu-ray on December 12th.
First up, the Duke goes “Indiana Jones” in the treasure hunting adventure Legend of the Lost (1957). A wealthy treasure hunter (Rossano Brazzi) employs a brawling, jailbird adventurer (Wayne) to help him find a hidden treasure in the Sahara, but eventually a young woman (Sophia Loren), along for the ride and looking to marry the wealthy man, comes between them. Also starring Kurt Kasznar and Sonia Moser.

Next, the Duke goes “Dirty Harry” in Brannigan (1975). Police Detective Jim Brannigan (Wayne) is sent from Chicago to London to extradite a wanted American criminal, Ben Larkin (John Vernon). However, Larkin is kidnapped before Brannigan can apprehend him, igniting a manhunt throughout the city. Jennifer (Judy Geeson), a British police officer, is appointed to help Brannigan, who is frequently bewildered by English customs. Brannigan’s harsh policing techniques also lead to constant clashes with Cmdr. Swann (Richard Attenborough).
